Duo Sonidos brings the striking combination of the guitar and violin to the forefront of classical chamber music.  Bringing together the talents of violinist William Knuth and guitarist Adam Levin, the  duo is at the vanguard of the guitar chamber music world, forging relationships with contemporary composers with the mission of expanding the duo repertoire.  In November 2010 Duo Sonidos released its debut album Duo Sonidos and subsequently, was awarded 1st Prize at the 2010 Luys Milan International Chamber Music Competition in Valencia, Spain. Adam Levin and William Knuth have performed throughout the United States and Europe and have been honored as US Fulbright Scholars in the field of music performance in Madrid and Vienna,  respectively. They take their name from the Spanish word for sound, which is sonidos; when broken apart, it becomes “son dos," meaning “there are two."

"How refreshing, then, to encounter two gifted young American musicians playing the Historie du Tango with a loose-limbed, easy virtuoso 'cool' and beguiling tonal warmth that combined laid-back intuitiveness with classical sophistication."
